RiseHill wins MDEC Malaysia Digital Scale-Up Grant for DMIS

RiseHill Data Analysis Sdn. Bhd. has been awarded the Malaysia Digital Scale-Up Grant – Manufacturing (MDSG-MFG) by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). The grant supported the development of DMIS, our Digital Manufacturing Intelligence System, which has now been delivered.

Why DMIS

Many Malaysian manufacturing SMEs still run on paper logbooks and end-of-month spreadsheets. Losses from changeovers, scrap and machine stops are found weeks later, when nothing can be done about them. Typical OEE sits between 50% and 65%.

The usual answer, a generic manufacturing execution system (MES), can cost more than RM 200,000 and take 12 to 18 months to deploy. That is out of reach for most SMEs.

What we built

DMIS is a smart manufacturing platform for digitalisation, optimisation and integrity. It turns the data a plant already has into ranked, costed decisions, and we customise it to each manufacturer's process. It needs no new sensors or hardware.

• Predictive quality: a defect risk score for every planned order or batch, with the change that lowers it most.
• AI scheduling: the production sequence that cuts changeover time and waste.
• 15 production KPIs across seven role-based modules, with every loss shown in ringgit.
• Connected supply chain, expert playbooks and two-factor security, all in one platform.

Early results

On our simulated pilot-profile factory, DMIS predicts off-spec on unseen batches with an AUC of 0.73, catches 34% of off-spec in the riskiest 20% of batches and identifies around RM 75,000 of recoverable losses per month. In one example, a single recommended process-setting change cut the risk of the next batch from 97% to 39%. Real-plant accuracy is confirmed during each pilot.

What's next

We are now onboarding Malaysian manufacturers for three-month pilots, with targets of +10% OEE, −10% changeover waste and −15% quality deviation. Apply for a pilot or watch the 60-second demo.
